About Playland
For more than 35 years, Playland Daycare Center has been a trusted part of the Sooke community. We are a family‑oriented childcare center dedicated to nurturing each child’s unique strengths while creating an inclusive environment where every child feels seen, supported, and valued.
Our team works collaboratively to build a place where children feel safe expressing their feelings, exploring new ideas, and forming meaningful relationships. We believe that strong emotional foundations and positive social experiences are essential to early learning.
Playland Daycare is deeply connected to the community and proudly partners with organizations such as the Sooke Family Resource Center, Queen Alexandra Supported Development, Victoria Native Friendship Centre, and Little Steps. These relationships help us advocate for each child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive development. We offer two fully licensed childcare programs:
• Infant & Toddler Program (12–36 months)
• Group Daycare Program (3–5 years)
We believe that nature is a powerful teacher. Outdoor play is part of our daily rhythm, with at least two outdoor sessions each day in our two fenced playgrounds. Children enjoy sandboxes, climbing structures, swings, slides, and a garden space designed for hands‑on exploration. At Playland Daycare, we celebrate individuality, encourage curiosity, and create a space where children can grow through both guided learning and free play. Our goal is simple: to help every child thrive.
